January 4	Susan Vecchione - Traditional Sailing Wines Sailors often had to carry their own provisions—especially water. During the voyage their drinking water became contaminated. The use of alcoholic beverages in the water helped to extend the shelf life by controlling the growth of unwanted organisms. The composition of these beverages varied and reflected the availability of crops grown near the ports. We will focus on three types of traditional wines, rice wine, resinated wine, and fortified wines. So if you’ve always wanted to know what Malmsey and Madeira really are—come join us for Traditional Sailing Wines!

July 11	Pool Party - Barbeque at the pool - Master Griller Kevin presents wine marinades and secret grillin' techniques. Start Time is 6 PM and we will be providing supper. The theme is "Picnic Wines" which we will also provide. Cost will be the cost of food and wine divided among those attending. Email for reservations
